Orthopedics (from Greek. ortos – correct, direct, and pedia – training, education) is a branch of medicine (section of surgery), that studies the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of deformities and disorders of bone and muscle system functions (thanks to Wikipedia). Accordingly, the mattress wearing this proud title, should have a certain set of characteristics, thanks to which your life will be lighter and the spine will be smooth and healthy. It is a set of characteristics, not a single feature.

The mattress should maintain the spine in its natural position without exerting undue pressure (i.e. so that the spine does not sag and bend and the muscles are as relaxed as possible).

It is important to remember that no mattress is able to cure – get rid of already existing problems with the spine, it facilitates coexistence with problems, great for prevention.
